Jennifer Smull is a second-year doctoral student in musicology. She received her master's degree from Indiana University, working with Jane Fulcher on 20th-century French music. For her dissertation, she is considering various topics in American music of the 1920s and 1930s.

Susan Stroebel is a second-year master's student in musicology, having entered the program just after graduating from Davidson College in the spring of 2004. There she worked with Neil Lerner and wrote an undergraduate thesis on the music of Charles Ives.
