Conference: Popular Music and American Culture
20–23 November

The inauguration of the Center for American Music is marked by its sponsorship of a conference on popular music to be held 20-23 November 2002. The program features two dozen papers presented by an international group of scholars, a panel discussion on popular music in contemporary culture and in the academy as well as keynote talks by Adam Krims (University of Alberta) and Fred Maus (University of Virginia). All events will take place in the Recital Studio (on the ground floor of MRH) at the School of Music.
