Music at the Boundaries: New Directions in Music and Criticism
2–6 March

A symposium on new music, scheduled for 2–6 March, will bring together scholars and performers for a week of discussion on the rewards and challenges of playing, experiencing, and understanding new music. The featured participants include the Chicago-based new music ensemble eighth blackbird as well as Nicholas Cook (University of Southampton), Christopher Hasty (Harvard University), and David Nicholls (University of Southampton).
